🌟 **Hand in Hand, Joy in the Countryside | Rotary Club of Amizade Macau Cooperates with Macau Down Syndrome Association to Hold Warm Event for Families of Children with Down Syndrome** 🌟
To allow members of Macau Down Syndrome Association (children with Down syndrome) to connect with nature, boost their confidence and social interaction, and to raise public awareness on the physical and mental health of this group and their families, the Rotary Club of amizade Macau, in cooperation with Macau Down Syndrome Association, successfully held the themed event "Hand in Hand, Joy in the Countryside" today.
A total of 60 participants, including 20 families of children with Down syndrome and volunteers, joined a one-day tour in Zhuhai and Zhongshan. The itinerary featured a visit to Huitong Ancient Village in Zhuhai, fruit and vegetable picking in the farm, and a delicious farmhouse feast. During the prawn fishing session, volunteers and families worked in teams and guided each other closely, filling the venue with laughter and warm interaction, showing the positive and sunny side of the children with Down syndrome community.
The event provided a relaxed social platform for children with Down syndrome, allowing them to gain happiness and confidence through outdoor experiences, while spreading the caring message of supporting vulnerable groups and valuing their physical and mental health.
Ms. Wong Lai Man, President of the Rotary Club of Amizade Macau, stated that the club will continue to uphold the spirit of "Unity in Service", cooperate with Macau Down Syndrome Association to organize a variety of caring activities, and call on the community to care for and support the underprivileged with concrete actions.
Also in attendance were former Presidents Ms. Ng Yan Na and Mr. Lee Sheng Chi, Service Chairman Mr. Ho Sang Kun, and many enthusiastic volunteers.
